Romney: ’92 Percent of Job Losses during Obama Years Has Been Women’

THESE are the points that Romney needs to continue to hammer obama on.  He MUST keep the focus on these issues, and he will win.  This election WILL come down to whichever side succeeds in driving the focus of issues.
  • Under obama, 92.3% of job losses were to women.
  • 800,000 people total have lost their jobs since obama took over.
  • Home prices have dropped.
  • Median income has dropped 10% since obama took over.

GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney on Tuesday said President Barack Obama is waging war on women through his administration’s failure on the economy.

The former Massachusetts governor said 92.3 percent of job losses during Obama’s presidency were experienced by women.

“The other day there’s been some talk about a war on women. The real war on women has been waged by the Obama administration’s failure on the economy. Do you know what percent of the job losses in the Obama years have been casualties of women losing jobs as opposed to men?” Romney said during a campaign stop in Wilmington, Del.

“Do you know how many women – what percent of the job losses were women? 92.3 percent of the job losses during the Obama years has been women who’ve lost those jobs. The real war on women has been the job losses as a result of the Obama economy,” he said.

Romney said in order to get women back to work and help them with the “real issues women care about - good jobs, good wages, a bright future for themselves, for their families and for their kids,” the nation needs a president who understands how the economy works.

“The president is so out of touch. I don’t think he knew that number, and if he did, he probably wouldn’t have said that his administration has been a great success. He says he’s not only done a good job, he says he’s done a great job,” Romney said, speaking to supporters at R.C. Fabricators Steel & Construction.

“Even with 92 percent of the job losses being women, he thinks he’s done a great job, an historically great job, and he did not say that on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ He said that to the mainstream media, and you look at the experience of this administration in the last three and a half years, and you can see that something is seriously wrong with his perspective,” he added.

Under Obama’s watch, “800,000 people overall” lost jobs, home prices have declined, and the median income of Americans has dropped 10 percent in the past four years, Romney noted.
